Roberto Pereyra Re-Joins Udinese
Argentine Midfielder Returns to Former Club
Undisclosed Fee Paid for Transfer
After becoming a free agent in the summer of 2023, Roberto Pereyra has re-joined Italian Serie A side Udinese for an undisclosed fee. The Argentine midfielder had been without a club since leaving Watford at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Pereyra, who turns 32 next month, spent five seasons with Udinese from 2011 to 2016, making over 150 appearances for the club. He was a key member of the team that finished third in Serie A in 2011/12 and helped Udinese reach the Champions League group stage for the first time.
After leaving Udinese, Pereyra had spells with Juventus, Watford, and Galatasaray. He won the Serie A title with Juventus in 2016/17 and the FA Cup with Watford in 2018/19.
Pereyra will be hoping to make a similar impact at Udinese this time around. The club is currently 14th in Serie A, and Pereyra's experience and quality could help them push for a higher finish.
Pereyra's re-signing is a coup for Udinese. He is a proven performer at the highest level, and his return to the club will be a major boost to their hopes of a successful season.
